Roblox Studio Coding: 1-on-1 Tutoring

Personal Roblox Studio help built around your child’s ideas, goals, and skill level.

Whether your student is opening Roblox Studio for the first time, stuck on a script that won’t work, or already building a game and wants help bringing an ambitious idea to life, BloxSchool’s private Roblox Studio coding tutoring gives them an instructor’s full attention for the entire lesson.

Instead of following a group project, 1-on-1 tutoring is customized to the student.

They can bring us a game they’re already creating, an idea they want to build, a coding concept they don’t understand, or simply say, “I want to learn how to make games.” We’ll meet them there.

🎮 What Can We Work On?

Every student’s goals are different. Tutoring sessions can include projects and skills such as:

  • Learning how to navigate Roblox Studio
  • Building and designing a first Roblox game
  • Understanding Explorer and Properties
  • Learning Lua/Luau scripting
  • Debugging scripts that aren’t working
  • Creating NPCs and interactive characters
  • Cutscenes and animations
  • Powerups and game mechanics
  • GUIs and interactive buttons
  • Leaderboards and rewards
  • Pets and follower systems
  • Teleporters
  • Obbies and adventure games
  • Tycoon-style systems
  • Effects, lighting, and atmosphere
  • Improving an existing Roblox game
  • Turning a student’s original idea into something playable

Have an unusual idea? Bring it to class. After years of helping students build Roblox games, we’ve worked through all kinds of strange bugs, ambitious projects, and “Is it possible to make…?” questions.

👩‍💻 Completely Personalized

There is no need for your student to keep up with a group.

If something takes longer to understand, we can stay with it.

If they already understand something, we can move ahead.

If they arrive excited about an entirely different project than we planned, the instructor can adapt the lesson around what will help them most.

That makes private tutoring especially useful for students who have a very specific game idea, want more individual support, or are ready to progress beyond the pace of a group class.

🌱 Complete Beginners Are Welcome

A beginner can start with opening Roblox Studio, moving around the workspace, adding parts, finding important windows, and learning what a script actually does.

We can then introduce coding and game-development concepts at a pace that makes sense for that student.

Parents may need to help younger beginners with tasks such as copying and pasting or starting a Zoom screen share during the first few lessons.

🚀 Already Know Roblox Studio?

Great.

More experienced students can use private tutoring for Luau programming, debugging, more advanced game systems, or help developing their own Roblox game.

Instead of spending time reviewing concepts they already know, we can focus on the areas where they actually need help.

🛠️ When Something Doesn’t Work

Getting stuck is a normal part of game development.

A script may have one character typed incorrectly. An object may be in the wrong location. A property may have the wrong setting. Sometimes the game behaves in a completely unexpected way.

Students can share their screen over Zoom, allowing the instructor to troubleshoot alongside them while explaining what we’re looking for and why.

The goal isn’t simply to fix the student’s game. We want them to become increasingly capable of figuring out why something isn’t working.

💻 What Students Need

Students need:

  • A Windows PC or Mac
  • Roblox Studio installed before class
  • A Roblox account
  • Zoom
  • Reliable internet
  • A mouse is strongly recommended

Chromebooks and tablets will not work for Roblox Studio.

Roblox Studio can be downloaded free from Roblox’s creator website.

🗓️ When Can My Student Start?

Any time.

Private tutoring does not have a “first week” or a class your student needs to catch up with.

Their first lesson starts wherever they are.

A complete beginner can start from the beginning, while an experienced developer can arrive with an existing game and jump directly into the problem or project they want help with.

💡 Don’t Have a Project Yet?

That’s completely fine.

Students don’t need to arrive with a game idea. We have plenty of projects and tutorials ready to go and can use the first lesson to find out what kinds of games and mechanics interest them.

As students gain confidence, they’re encouraged to customize projects and turn what they’re learning into their own ideas.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Does my child need previous coding experience?
No. Complete beginners are welcome, and experienced Roblox Studio users can work on more advanced Luau programming and game development.

Does my student need to have a game they’re already working on?
No. We can provide a project based on their interests or start with Roblox Studio fundamentals. Students who already have a project are welcome to bring it.

Can the tutor help fix my child’s Roblox game?
Yes. Debugging and troubleshooting are great uses of 1-on-1 tutoring. Students can share their screen so the instructor can investigate the problem with them.

Can my child choose what they want to learn?
Yes. That’s one of the biggest differences between private tutoring and our group classes. Lessons can be adapted around the student’s goals, interests, skill level, and current game.

Where does tutoring take place?
Lessons are live online through Zoom. Screen sharing allows the instructor and student to work through Roblox Studio together.

Will Roblox Studio work on a Chromebook or tablet?
No. Students need a compatible Windows PC or Mac capable of running Roblox Studio.

What if my student is brand new to Roblox Studio?
That’s completely fine. We can begin with the interface and basic building before moving into scripting and game-development concepts.

What if my student is already advanced?
We can work on typed Luau, debugging, more complex systems, or the student’s own game. Private tutoring allows us to skip material they’ve already mastered.
